Indian veterinary college at Parel in Mumbai, founded in 1886 as one of the oldest veterinary schools in Asia, renamed Mumbai Veterinary College in 2018 and now a constituent college of the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University at Nagpur. Teaches the bachelor of veterinary science and animal husbandry with master's and doctoral degrees through departments including veterinary pharmacology and toxicology, pathology, microbiology and public health, and runs its own veterinary teaching hospital, diagnostic laboratories and research programmes.
