Cameroonian public health laboratory at Yaoundé with a branch at Garoua, founded in 1959 and a member of the international network of Pasteur institutes, working under the ministry of public health. Runs national reference laboratories for viruses, bacteria, tuberculosis and food and water analysis, carries out medical testing for patients and outbreak investigation for the state, produces and distributes vaccines for immunisation programmes, conducts research on malaria, arboviruses and antimicrobial resistance and trains laboratory staff.
