Janssen Research and Development Beerse

Belgian research and development site of the Janssen pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson at Beerse in Antwerp province, founded by Dr Paul Janssen, whose laboratory there produced a long line of medicines from the 1950s onward. The campus runs discovery chemistry and biology, non clinical safety, pharmaceutical development and clinical research and is one of the group's principal research sites in Europe, working in neuroscience, infectious diseases and vaccines, oncology and immunology, alongside manufacturing and clinical supply operations.
