Saudi public university at Al-Ahsa in the Eastern Province, founded in 1975 and one of the kingdom's larger universities. Runs a College of Clinical Pharmacy teaching the Doctor of Pharmacy, colleges of medicine, dentistry, applied medical sciences and nursing with the King Faisal University medical services, a College of Veterinary Medicine with its own veterinary teaching hospital and colleges of agriculture and food sciences and science, carrying out research in clinical pharmacy, veterinary medicines, date palm and food science and biotechnology.
