Italian and American cell analysis company with sites at Castel Maggiore near Bologna and in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, founded as Silicon Biosystems in 2000 and bought by the Menarini group in 2013. Makes the CellSearch system for detecting and counting circulating tumour cells in blood, cleared by regulators as a prognostic test in metastatic breast, prostate and colorectal cancer, and the DEPArray systems that use dielectrophoresis to isolate single cells for genomic analysis, together with reagents, consumables and laboratory services for research and clinical use.
