Dutch cancer research institute in Amsterdam, founded in 1913 and combined with the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital as the country's comprehensive cancer centre. Runs research divisions in molecular carcinogenesis, molecular oncology and immunology, tumour biology and immunology, cell biology, molecular pathology and psychosocial research and epidemiology, hosts core facilities in genomics, proteomics, imaging and preclinical models and works with pharmaceutical partners on target discovery, biomarker development and early phase oncology trials.
