Polish technical university at Wrocław in Lower Silesia, founded in 1945 by scholars from Lwów on the base of the earlier German technical university, and one of the largest technical universities in the country. Teaches chemistry, chemical technology, biotechnology, medicinal chemistry and biomedical engineering alongside its other engineering faculties, runs analytical and materials laboratories, and carries out research on drug synthesis, biomaterials and process technology with industry.
