Sloan Kettering Institute

American cancer research institute in New York, founded in 1945 with support from Alfred Sloan and Charles Kettering and the research arm of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Runs programmes in cancer biology and genetics, cell biology, chemical biology, immunology, molecular pharmacology and structural biology, houses a chemical biology programme that designs new compounds and imaging agents, and trains doctoral students through the Gerstner Sloan Kettering graduate school.
