Swedish plant research centre at Umeå in the north of the country, run jointly by Umeå University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and opened in 1999. Studies tree and plant biology, wood formation and forest biotechnology, plant metabolism and stress responses, runs greenhouse, metabolomics and imaging platforms shared with other laboratories and works with the Swedish forestry and plant breeding industries.
