University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture

Agricultural arm of the University of Arkansas System, with its head office at Little Rock and research stations and extension offices across the state, whose work goes back to the agricultural experiment station of 1888. Runs the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station and the Cooperative Extension Service, carrying out research on crops, food science, animal health, natural products and food safety, and provides testing, diagnostic and advisory services to farmers and food companies.
