Dementia is often seen solely as an outcome of aging, but recent research shows many cases can be prevented through lifestyle improvements.

Researchers from Curtin University in Australia analyzed dementia‑prevention campaigns conducted in eight countries and published their findings in The Lancet Healthy Longevity.
The analysis indicates that managing modifiable risk factors such as physical inactivity, smoking, low education level, insufficient sleep, and social isolation can help prevent dementia.
