Pharmacists frequently receive the question “Which magnesium is best?” from patients. Answering is complex because magnesium supplements come in various formulations—oxide, citrate, gluconate—and the appropriate choice must align with the patient’s health goals and concurrent medications.
In earlier guidance (part 4), printed handouts were provided to patients. The latest effort shifts to a digital aid used during the counseling session. The tool, called the Claude Project, is a customizable workspace where pharmacists can register counseling guidelines and reference documents in advance. Once set up, the same resources and rules are automatically available each time a new conversation is started, ensuring consistent and efficient advice.
The Claude Project aims to streamline the selection process for magnesium supplements, helping pharmacists quickly match the right product to each patient’s specific needs.
