A web‑based caregiving application was developed to help family caregivers of dementia patients manage the stress and suffering associated with caring for loved ones exhibiting agitation or aggression. While the app does not directly alter the patients' behavioral symptoms, a U.S. research team evaluated its impact on 262 caregivers. Participants who used the app reported reduced distress caused by patients' behavior and an overall improvement in their wellbeing. The researchers concluded that alleviating caregiver burden can be an important therapeutic and management strategy alongside direct symptom treatment. The study results were recently published in an international American journal.
