My current research is focused on nano-microbial interactions using CRISPR and advanced nanotechnology for developing new nano-antibiotics. I have experience in the development of novel nanomaterials for applications in drugs and the evaluation of potential risks of nanomaterials to the environment and human health. I have skills in nanomaterials synthesis and characterization, as well as a fundamental understanding of nanomaterials interactions with bacteria, cells, and animals. I am a recipient of the EU Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (2015, 2020, two times), Denmark Villum Experiment Grant (2019), H.C. Ørsted Postdoctoral Fellowship COFUND by Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action (2017), and the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Young Scientist (2014).
