Maryam Taqi Almousa is an ambitious biomedical engineer who is looking forward to enhancing healthcare services. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from King Faisal University, Hofuf, Saudi Arabia, in 2018, and completed her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia, in 2025. Since 2019, she has been working as a Medical Equipment Specialist with the Privatization Affairs Office (PAO) at the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, where she has played various roles to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to dialysis patients served by the Dialysis Services Provision Program. Maryam has been working as an auditor who conducts monthly site visits to dialysis centers to ensure the companies’ compliance with the contract. She prepared monthly reports on the performance of dialysis centers and trained the non-clinical supervisory team on conducting effective site visits. Maryam also served as a leader of the Quality and Organizational Excellence Team, where she established the team and its business plan. She prepared the PAO’s organizational manual, updated and documented its policies and procedures, and developed its operational plan. She also monitored the operational plan’s key performance indicators, projects, and initiatives, and applied corrective actions when needed. Maryam is a board member of the Saudi Scientific Society for Biomedical Engineering, a member of the Saudi Council of Engineers, and a member of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. Her goal is to invest her time, knowledge, and skills to enhance healthcare services. Her research interests include (but are not limited to) biomedical engineering and medical devices.
