Aduhelm

Aduhelm (aducanumab) is a monoclonal antibody supplied, rather than manufactured, by VuRoyal (SuQian) Pharmaceutical Company LLC, intended to improve cognitive function in mild Alzheimer's disease by clearing beta-amyloid plaques from the brain. Due to the risk of cerebral edema and hemorrhage, its use requires baseline and periodic MRI monitoring and is restricted to symptomatic patients under close medical evaluation of benefit versus risk; it received US FDA accelerated approval but its efficacy remains debated, and it is not yet approved in China. Samples are not offered, and the product is sold into North America and Central/South America.
