Ampicillin

Ampicillin (molecular formula C16H19N3O4S, CAS 69-53-4), a broad-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic of the penicillin group that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, is supplied at pharmaceutical grade to Chinese Pharmacopoeia and Ph. Int. standards by Ningbo Pangs Chem Co., Ltd., which does not manufacture it directly but offers samples. It is used for respiratory, urinary tract, gastrointestinal and meningeal infections (often combined with sulbactam against beta-lactamase-producing bacteria) as well as in veterinary medicine and research applications, and is distributed across North America, Europe, Australasia, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
