Antibiotics pristinamycin

Pristinamycin (CAS 270076-60-3) is a streptogramin-class antibiotic derived from Streptomyces pristinaespiralis, supplied by Beijing Global Biologicals as a pharmaceutical-grade product for staphylococcal and, to a lesser extent, streptococcal infections. It is a synergistic mixture of two components, a macrolide-like pristinamycin IA and a depsipeptide pristinamycin IIA, that together produce potent bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial ribosomal protein synthesis.
