Artemisinin

Artemisinin (CAS 63968-64-9), isolated from the traditional Chinese antimalarial herb Artemisia annua L. and appearing as a clear needle-like crystal, is a safe and effective antimalarial treatment used in over two million patients, and has also shown anti-cancer activity, most notably against leukemia and colon cancer, with intermediate activity reported against melanoma, breast, ovarian, prostate, CNS and renal cancers. It is offered at pharmaceutical grade by Chengdu Runde Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which does not manufacture it directly, for distribution across North America, Europe, Australasia, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
