Ascorbate Oxidase (AOD, CAS 9029-44-1) is an enzyme belonging to the ceruloplasmin family with a molecular weight of approximately 140 kD, composed of two identical 70 kD subunits, that catalyzes the oxidation of ascorbic acid to dehydroascorbic acid while generating water from oxygen. Manufactured directly by Ningbo Linzyme Biosciences Co., Ltd. to pharmaceutical grade as a light blue amorphous powder, it is specified at an activity of ≥200 U/mg with tightly controlled catalase and phosphatase impurity levels, and is noted for anti-aging applications. It is distributed across Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Asia.
