Chlorocyclohexane

Chlorocyclohexane (CAS 542-18-7) is a chemical-grade compound manufactured directly by Speranza Chemical Co., Ltd, described as having a choking odor, low water solubility (0.02 g/L at 20°C) but good solubility in chloroform, ethanol, ether, acetone and benzene, and decomposing in water to yellow-colored hydrochloric acid. It serves as a pharmaceutical intermediate for the anti-epileptic/antispasmodic agent phenoxol hydrochloride, and also as an intermediate for a pesticide (tricyclic tin compound) and a rubber anti-scorch agent. It is distributed across North America, Europe, Australasia, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
