Valued for its thermal stability, silver oxide is an insoluble silver source well suited to glass, optics, and ceramics applications, available in high-purity submicron and nanopowder forms. Many oxide compounds are non-conductive, though perovskite-structured oxides are electronically conductive and find use in cathodes for solid oxide fuel cells and oxygen generation systems.
