Senior Brand Executive (Pharmacist)

I am Abu Asad, a pharmaceutical marketing professional currently working as a Senior Brand Executive in the Marketing Strategy Department of Ziska Pharmaceuticals Ltd. I started my career in pharmaceutical marketing in March 2022 with ZAS Corporation, where I developed a strong foundation in therapy-focused strategy, scientific communication, and evidence-based brand development. In the initial phase of my career, I worked with specialty hormonal portfolios, including natural micronized progesterone, estrogen, and FSH. This experience helped me build a deep understanding of clinical data interpretation, guideline-driven promotion, and engagement with specialty prescribers, shaping my interest in science-led pharmaceutical marketing. I joined Ziska Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in February 2023, where my responsibilities expanded to managing cardio-metabolic and immunology portfolios. I have been actively involved in the strategic planning and execution of brands containing Linagliptin, Empagliflozin, Ertugliflozin, Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, and Tofacitinib. My work focuses on launch excellence, lifecycle management, and translating global clinical trial evidence into practical, prescriber-relevant strategies. One of the most significant achievements of my career has been my involvement in the launch of Tirzepatide, a first-in-class dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist. Through strong scientific positioning and structured launch planning, the brand achieved rapid market acceptance and evolved into a 10+ million value brand, setting a benchmark in innovative pharmaceutical marketing. I hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Asia Pacific, which underpins my strong interest in clinical research and outcomes-based healthcare. I am particularly interested in diabetes, obesity, cardiometabolic diseases, and immunology, with a focus on clinical trial design, real-world evidence, and guideline evolution. Originally from Sylhet, I am currently based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, pursuing professional growth in a dynamic healthcare environment. I am highly motivated to work beyond national borders and aspire to contribute to regional or global pharmaceutical roles where clinical evidence, strategic marketing, and patient outcomes intersect.
