MD Clinical Pharmacologist

I am a consultant physician specializing in Clinical Pharmacology at Hospital del Mar. I completed my residency (MIR) in September 2024 at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, where I undertook clinical rotations across various hospital medical departments, including Emergency Medicine, Hepatology, Pain Clinic, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Oncology. During my specific rotation in Clinical Pharmacology, I received comprehensive training in the Clinical Trials Unit, Drug Information and Selection, as well as Pharmacoepidemiology. Additionally, I gained significant experience in Pharmacovigilance within the hospital setting, deepening my knowledge at the Catalonia Regional Pharmacovigilance Center and through an external rotation in the Department of Advanced Therapy Medicine at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. My work has particularly focused on regulatory and pharmacovigilance areas, with a special emphasis on protocol development, preparation of preclinical research dossiers, and drafting DSUR and PSUR reports for various healthcare products. Currently, I am a consultant physician at the Institut de Recerca at Hospital del Mar, where I participate in the Hospital and CatSalut Pharmacotherapeutics Committee, collaborate on projects related to the research unit and collaborate on Ethics Committee at Hospital del Mar. Simultaneously, I am pursuing my doctoral thesis in pharmacology within the Pharmacovigilance Department at Vall d’Hebron Hospital. Additionally, for four years, I worked night shifts in the adult Internal Medicine Emergency Department. I complemented my academic training by completing a Master’s in Critical Illness and Emergencies at the University of Barcelona.
