专业摘要

RESEARCH SCIENTIST: In Vivo Pharmacology & Drug Discovery Possess 13 years of experience in pharmaceutical and cardio-pulmonary pharmacology research and experimentation, with a background including: • Progressively senior experience at one of the world’s leading research universities. • Preclinical research into pharmacology and cardiovascular vascular therapy during inflammatory diseases. • Development of standard operating procedures and study protocols. • Observation, analysis, and functional evaluation of study results. • Small animal surgery and tissue sampling. • Establishment and management of complex schedules and timelines. • Clear, concise reporting and documentation of all study data. • Diverse publications in peer-reviewed journals • Pharmacological Development • In Vivo Pharmacology • Small Animal Surgery • Advanced Scientific Writing • Cell Based Assays • Hypercholesterolemia • Study Protocol Development • Functional Evaluations • Data Management • Standard Operating Procedures • Pre-Clinical Research • Metabolic Diseases • Acute Lung Injury/ARDS • Inflammatory Diseases • Data Analysis Research Assistant Professor of Pharmacology (2012-Present) Promoted to coordinate medical and scientific research in the field of pharmacology and therapeutics, with particular focus on identifying treatments of vascular inflammatory diseases – centered on cardiovascular and pulmonary dysfunctions. Manage the activities of a team of 10 researchers throughout all scientific investigations, guiding research into the role of excessive cytosolic calcium entry, pro-inflammatory cell signaling, and immune sentinel cells in regulation of pulmonary vascular endothelial permeability and inflammation. Utilize research results to petition and win multimillion dollar research grants from the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and NIH. Author research proposals, scientific reports and manuscripts, and protocols for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). Provide oversight for all aspects of the in vivo pharmacology and mouse vascular endothelial cell isolation facilities. Monitor current trends in scientific technology to identify emerging trends and incorporate the latest developments into the laboratory and its projects. Selected Achievements: • Launched the in vivo pharmacology research program within the laboratory. • Introduced state-of-the-art research techniques, including establishing standards and processes. Techniques included liposome mediated gene transfer, mouse isolated perfused lung preparations, and more. • Leveraged new techniques such as TIRF microscopy and isolated mouse cell cultures to author and publish research papers in leading biomedical journals. • Promoted scientific advancement and knowledge sharing by consistently presenting findings at national and international scientific meetings. • Facilitated staff and student growth by providing training and leadership to technical team members, PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows. AWARDS, HONORS & FELLOWSHIPS • Young Scientist Travel Award, 04/2011, by The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutic (ASPET), Experimental Biology 2011, Washington, DC • Gold Medal Prize, College of Medicine (COM) Research 2010, for Best Poster Presentation, University of Illinois, Chicago, US, 11/2010 • Michael J.
