RESEARCH
Research Topics
• Pharmacokinetics, tissue distribution and residual depletion of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs used in veterinary medicine for the optimisation of drug dosages.
• Pharmacokinetics correlated to clinical efficacy of analgesic drugs (tramadol, butorphanol and ketorolac) used in the peri-operative period during surgery of companion animals as dogs, cats and horses.
• Pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling of antimicrobials to obtain the most specific breakpoints for the determination of the correct therapy and for the limitation of the widespread of antibiotic resistance.
• The environmental impact of antimicrobials use in farm animals on public health and the spread of resistance and toxicity on non-target organisms
TEACHING
• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Biotechnology, UNIMI: “Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology”,
• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Husbandry and Welfare, UNIMI, “Toxicology for domestic animals"
• Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine, UNIMI, "Veterinary Toxicology"
