M.S. (Pharm.)

I'm Rana Saha, Ph.D. scholar (Medicinal Chemistry) at the National Institute Of Pharmaceutical Education And Research, Kolkata, India. I graduated from the NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata of the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Technology in 2020. I completed my master's degree in Medicinal Chemistry, M.S.(Pharm.) in 2022 from the National Institute Of Pharmaceutical Education And Research, Kolkata, India. My master's thesis was "Copper-Catalyzed Intramolecular Cyclization Of N-propargylic Sulfonylhydrazones to form Pyrazole" (Guide - Dr. Murali Mohan Guru). The master’s program focused on organic synthesis and I enjoyed my work. Therefore, I decided to continue my education with a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicinal Chemistry under the guidance of Dr. Subhendu Bhowmik, to learn practical skills more efficiently and apply those skills in chemical Biology to do something novel that benefits society. In my present position, as a Ph.D. scholar, I am relishing my lab work and at the same time, I am also developing and improving my knowledge and basic concepts with more clarity and observation skills so that I can connect all the dots as much as possible according to my research domain and my area of interest.
