I am a passionate Biomedical Engineering graduate from NED University, honored with two gold medals for academic excellence, and currently pursuing my Master’s in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. My research journey integrates neuroscience, rehabilitation, and biomedical technology. I have investigated transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) for managing cannabis use disorder, actively contributing to study design, EEG data collection, and behavioral analysis in a clinical setting. During my Mitacs Globalink Internship at Western University, Canada, I explored musculoskeletal biomechanics using 4D-CT imaging, developing 3D anatomical models in 3D Slicer and contributing to wrist implant motion studies. Currently, my Master’s thesis examines the potential of alpha-frequency binaural beats to enhance social interaction in individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), where I am directly engaged in participant recruitment, EEG data acquisition, and analysis.
My technical expertise spans EEG signal processing (EEGLAB, ERPLab), biomedical system modeling (3D Slicer, AutoCAD), and clinical applications of medical technology. I am also deeply interested in biomaterials and regenerative therapies, supported by specialized coursework and interdisciplinary exposure. Beyond research, I serve as Executive Lead at Bazm-e-BME, a national platform fostering collaboration among biomedical engineers, researchers, and healthcare professionals across Pakistan.
I have also contributed to the scientific literature with publications on feature engineering for motor imagery-based BCI systems and machine learning approaches for non-invasive blood glucose monitoring. My long-term vision is to drive innovative, patient-centered healthcare solutions by bridging neuroscience, rehabilitation, biomaterials, and medical technology through translational research.
