Research Assistant

Tariqul Islam is a PhD research fellow at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). His research interests are in the areas of Drug design and discovery, Drug synthesis, Drug development, Drug delivery, Pharmaceutical formulation development, Pharmaceutical manufacturing, and particle size, encapsulation, extraction using supercritical CO2 technology. He obtained Master of Pharmacy in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology (M. Pharm) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) degree, both from the Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh. He has over three years of job experiences in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (As a senior executive, production) from Eskayef Pharmaceutical Ltd. (Bangladesh), SmithKline & French (SK&F), USA. He has also two years of research experience in amide drug synthesis and analytical chemistry.
