专业摘要

My fascination with computer systems and programming began in 1983 with the release of the TI-99/4A personal computer. As a young teenager I "lived" on the computer, creating programs to track house finances for my dad and creating simple games for myself and friends. That is the point I knew I wanted to be an Electrical Engineer with a focus on computer systems. In 1989 I was given an awesome opportunity by Dr. Randy Moss of MS&T. I was brought on board via a grant to develop a PC based automated vision processing program to analyze digitized images for diagnosis. This led to my first research publication as co-author at the 14th Symposium on Computer Applications in Medical Care in Nov 1990. I trace my post-collegiate career back to St. Louis, Missouri where, as an Electrical Engineering graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla, I began my journey wiring control panels and programming Allen Bradley PLCs. While the work focused on both consumer and pharmaceutical clients, I quickly realized my technical aptitude and organizational skills would be better utilized in the more regulated pharmaceutical arena. I relocated to Puerto Rico in the early 90's to provide the pharmaceutical base with engineering, automation, quality assurance and C&Q solutions. In 1996, as the business expanded back to the States, I relocated to Chicago. I currently oversee the design, implementation and qualification of control systems in the pharmaceutical, biopharma and medical device industry. The control systems include vision, chemistry and microbiological methods of machine sensing.
