Established in March 2002 based on R&D from Fudan University, Shanghai Jinhe Bio-Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd. (BIOTAXU.COM) began by processing paclitaxel API internationally and has grown into one of China's largest processors of Taxus biomass. The company manufactures taxane-based oncology APIs, including natural and semi-synthetic paclitaxel, docetaxel (anhydrous and trihydrate forms), 10-deacetylbaccatin III, baccatin III, and irinotecan hydrochloride trihydrate, and it holds patents covering a synthetic method for docetaxel and a method for extracting and purifying 10-deacetylbaccatin III. It has since expanded from natural-extraction anti-cancer products into semi-synthetic anti-cancer development, and its customer base reportedly includes Cipla, Fresenius Kabi Oncology and Dr. Reddy's. The company sells across North and South America, Western and Eastern Europe, Australasia, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
