Hayashibara

Japanese ingredient manufacturer founded in 1883 in Okayama as a starch syrup producer, now Nagase Viita within the Nagase group, the first company in the world to mass-produce trehalose in 1994 and the holder of US FDA GRAS status for it since 2000, developing and selling food, pharmaceutical, personal care and health food ingredients together with enzymes, phospholipids, functional dyes and research reagents.
