Founded in 2012 in Zhangjiang, Shanghai as Shanghai Xuantai Pharmaceutical Technology (in partnership with the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute's "New Drug Creation Laboratory"), Sinotherapeutics has since built a group of subsidiaries spanning a Sino-foreign joint venture with Zhejiang Haizheng, a dedicated Haimen manufacturing base (GMP-certified by China's CFDA in 2015 and audited on-site by the US FDA three times, in 2016, 2018, and 2019), a nutrition and health products biotech unit, and an overseas sales arm (GFW Inc.). The company has secured US FDA approvals for three modified-release generic products — bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets (2017), metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets (2018), and propafenone hydrochloride extended-release capsules (2019) — and offers CRO, CMO, and CDMO contract services with own-brand R&D capacity to customers across North America, Asia, Europe, Australasia, the Middle East, and Africa.
