Angel Yeast Co., Ltd, tracing back to a 1986 national key industrial project on active dry yeast, has grown into a publicly listed manufacturer (Shanghai Stock Exchange code 600298, since 2000) of yeast and yeast extracts, fermentation and microbial reagents, animal extracts and related drug-development technologies. The company built production bases in Yili, Liucheng, Dehong and Guangzhou (China), plus an overseas facility in Egypt and a Russian subsidiary that began production in 2017, supplying customers such as COFCO, Nestlé, Unilever and Fufeng.
