Medex, a Slovenian company established in 1954 (its name combining the Slovene word 'med' for honey with 'ex' for export), has recently become a leading European manufacturer of innovative food supplements based on bee and other natural products, selling to more than 25 countries mainly across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Its main products, inspired by recipes from traditional medicine, are made with honey, propolis, royal jelly, bee pollen and bee venom, positioning Medex as a pioneer in apitherapy; all products are developed and produced in-house at its own facilities, supported by an R&D department led by a registered research group of 4 doctors of science across various biosciences and biomedicine fields, with the first laboratory established in the 1960s and today boasting modern, high-tech development and analytical laboratories.
