The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) dismissed concerns about potential supply disruptions for the high‑risk group influenza National Immunization Program (NIP). Initial delivery delays from Sanofi were managed by adjusting procurement quantities. The agency confirmed that the 12.33 million doses required for the 2026‑2027 seasonal national immunization will be supplied according to the vaccination schedule.
KDCA stated that the government has secured the necessary vaccine volume and expects no interruption in delivery. The upcoming seasonal NIP targets individuals aged 65 and over, children from six months to 13 years, and pregnant women.
The agency’s response addresses recent media reports suggesting possible shortages, reaffirming confidence in the planned supply chain.
