Founded in 1994 by Mr. Garry Zhang as Sichuan Deyang Biochemical Products and restructured into Sichuan Deebio Pharmaceutical in 2011, the company is China's first enzyme API manufacturer to hold EU-GMP certification for pancreatin, pepsin, trypsin-chymotrypsin, and alpha-chymotrypsin (obtained via its 2003 Sino-German joint venture Sinozyme, EU-GMP certified in 2005, plus heparin sodium EU-GMP certification in 2013), and was the first Chinese company to produce trypsin-chymotrypsin domestically. Ranked the world's largest pancreatin producer and the only enzyme manufacturer listed on a Chinese stock exchange, Deebio manufactures animal-derived enzymes and biologics including elastase, pancreatin, heparin sodium, gastric mucin, cytochrome C, chondroitin sulfate, and trypsin, holds six patents plus a dedicated postdoctoral research base, and requires irrevocable L/C at sight or T/T-in-advance payment for its global customer base.
